Director of Admissions, Montcalm Schools

Norm Ostrum is the Director of Admissions for Montcalm Schools. Norm came to Starr Commonwealth in 1894 after working for 6 years in a residential treatment facility in northern Michigan. Norm assisted in the development of the Treatment Foster Care Program and the Supervised Independent Living Program for Starr. He began with Montcalm School in the Admissions Department in 2002. Norm earned his Bachelor's Degree at Michigan State University and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration at Central Michigan University. Janne Byrens is an Admissions Coordinator for Montcalm School. Janne began her career with Starr Commonwealth in the Spring of 1988 after attending Davenport University. She moved to her current position with Montcalm Schools in 2002 and is available to help families navigate the admissions process.
