Transitioning back into the family after residential treatment can be challenge enough, and research confirms that real world peer pressure and outside influences can cause some returning teens to struggle and even relapse.  Most therapeutic schools don't offer a formal transition program, much less one as comprehensive as the one we have in place for teens leaving Montcalm Schools:

  • a maintenance plan for students who have successfully completed a Montcalm treatment program
  • unlike generic "aftercare" programs, ours is structured around Montcalm students - we know these kids
  • multiple levels of fee-based continuing care services
  • depending on level chosen, plan can include return visits to campus, weekly phone contact, quarterly parent seminars
